Commercial Construction Site Solutions

Our range of integrated imaging technologies is broken up between site monitoring and workforce monitoring.

Our process is simple – We’ll have an initial consultation to discuss requirements and specifications. Once agreed we’ll build and test our solutions in our off-site workshop to reduce on-site commissioning time. Then our highly qualified engineers will install our solution on-site. And that’s it – Once the installation is complete we’ll get right to work with our remote monitoring station being manned 24 hours 7 days a week.

VIS hold SIA ACS status for Security Guarding. Our alarm receiving centre specialises in Construction Site Security, remote CCTV Monitoring with live Audio Challenge and rapid site security guard response.

Our service utilises the award-winning Immix video alarm receiving platform, which allows instant response to incidents within seconds of them happening.

Using advanced virtual detection, our cameras can differentiate between human and vehicle, and filter out unwanted false alarms due to materials, weather and other factors.

PRIMARK

Over several years, VIS Systems has played a key role in supporting projects that span over half a million square feet of retail space, covering 16 PRIMARK stores across England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. These projects, valued at over £69 million, involved upgrading, refurbishing, and reimagining the stores to align with the retailer’s high standards for quality and customer experience.

To support these extensive efforts, we implemented a range of advanced security and workforce management solutions. A standout feature was the installation of bespoke half-height turnstile systems integrated with face recognition technology, ensuring secure access control and efficient worker flow on-site.

DragonFly Pall Mall Revamp

This project focuses on enhancing energy efficiency by incorporating air source heat pumps, smart metering systems, and mechanical ventilation heat recovery, ensuring that communal spaces operate with net zero carbon emissions. Given the scale of the project, Dragonfly selected us as their trusted construction site security partner to keep the site safe and secure.

Our services allow them to manage site visitors, maintain high-level security 24/7, and stay alert even in the absence of managers. Prioritising sustainability, the redevelopment saves 7,900 tonnes of carbon emissions by retaining the original structure. We also offer environmentally conscious security options, like solar-powered CCTV.

Premier Inn | Manchester‍

Appointed by GMI Construction, VIS Systems has implemented a comprehensive suite of security solutions to protect the site of a new 10-storey hotel in Manchester, set to begin in autumn 2024. We installed solar-powered CCTV systems for 24/7 surveillance and provided real-time monitoring through our remote control room, ensuring rapid responses to potential threats. Additionally, vibration monitoring technology was introduced to detect unauthorised access and prevent security breaches. These measures are not only safeguarding the site but also helping to keep the project on schedule for its autumn 2026 completion.

Manchester ‘Jenga’ Hotel

Valued at £35 million, the Adair Street hotel project hinged on the lifting of coronavirus restrictions, and we at VIS Systems were proud to lead the way in securing the construction site. Designed by Stephenson Studio, the 14-floor, 110,000 sq ft hotel will feature a unique Jenga-inspired architecture, making site security crucial to prevent tampering or vandalism.

This project will bring significant benefits to the community, including nearby residential developments and a new public square with a café bar.
