The team at VIS Systems are proud to be in partnership with Riverside Housing one of the UK’s largest housing and care services providers. The project comprises 90 extra-care units and 40 houses and apartments, The Meadows is being developed for Sefton Council and Homes England.

The £33m development is due to be completed in 2026 and will see main contractor Vistry Group deliver 130 homes in total, available on various affordable tenures, on a vacant site off Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale. 110 of the homes will be set aside for affordable rent, while the remaining 20 will be available as shared ownership properties showing the sheer scale of this project.

The project team has worked with the Sandbrook Co Production Group in developing the project, with the aim of creating homes appropriate for people who are neurodiverse.

The group has worked with Sefton Council and Riverside to design eight of the homes, which will form a short-term assessment unit, designed to help residents live independently.

At VIS Systems we have provided the site with state of the art construction site security services for this incredible project.

Our technology is unmatched for tracking and monitoring site access, with our new construction biometric access control system installed at the Meadows the site is safe from potential trespassers and unqualified individuals gaining access.

Solar powered CCTV security cameras are also in action around the clock to monitor activity in and around the site to deter thieves and protect the site's valuable equipment, materials, machinery and most importantly the workers.

The safety of the workers on site is a top priority of ours and that is why we have a control room monitoring the cameras 24/7 to dispatch security guards to any potential incidents or threats.

Building site security is what we are renowned for, already trusted by countless large scale projects to provide site security services across the UK.

We have an expert team with years of experience in the construction site security sector who are continuously working to improve our services and technology so that we can provide the best security solution to your site no matter where you are located.

Cllr Marion Atkinson, Leader of Sefton Council said: “Turning a disused site into one that offers a range of housing options, including much-needed affordable housing, will be a huge benefit to the people who will live and stay here, as well as the local community.”

This shows us the importance of Ainsdale homes to the local community and makes us proud to be able to provide our site security services to a project that is desperately needed.

VIS solar powered security cameras last all year round with battery upgrades as required.

Does rain affect solar panels?

As long as the solar panels are South facing rain won’t be an issue.

Do solar panels require maintenance?

Yes they do require maintenance and that’s managed by VIS, you won’t need to worry about that yourself.

Do solar panels work at night?

VIS CCTV Towers will still be operational at night and the solar panels will supply a charge during the day. When the sun goes down the batteries will have enough power to maintain the systems during the night.
