Our Role Within This Project
Appointed by GMI Construction, the principal contractor, we at VIS Systems have deployed a comprehensive suite of security solutions to protect the site throughout the project’s duration.
As GMI Construction prepares to break ground on the 10-storey hotel in the autumn of 2024, we have implemented several advanced security measures so they can improve their productivity and hit all important targets.
These included the installation of solar-powered CCTV systems to provide 24/7 video surveillance, ensuring that all activities on-site are closely monitored. Additionally, the CCTV monitoring services offered by us at VIS Systems enable real-time observation and rapid response to any potential security threats thanks to our remote control room.
To further enhance the site’s security, we have also introduced vibration monitoring technology. This system is crucial in detecting any unauthorised access or unusual activity, thereby preventing potential breaches and ensuring the integrity of the construction site.
The collaboration between VIS Systems, GMI Construction, and Whitbread exemplifies the importance of robust security measures in large-scale construction projects. With a scheduled completion date of autumn 2026, the new Premier Inn will stand as one of the largest in central Manchester, thanks in part to the diligent security efforts provided by us at VIS Systems.
