Heaton’s Wigan Village

Located within walking distance of Wigan’s two train stations, this project aims to rejuvenate the area and VIS Systems are proud to be partnering with them to ensure optimal security while construction is underway.

The Project Scale

Acquired in 2021 by Heaton Group, the site will feature nearly 1,000 homes and the conversion of Mill Three into apartments. The project also includes a 22,000 sq ft food hall and Wigan’s first rooftop bar, all managed by Heaton Group.

This kind of blueprint required top quality construction site security, with various staff members all operating on a range of tasks in various areas of the vast construction site, there was no room for error when it came to site security.

At VIS Systems, we ensure that the site is under surveillance, deterring theft, vandalism and unauthorised access to the construction site - keeping staff and the site safe.

The Community Impact

Cotton Works aims to keep Wigan residents local by providing amenities comparable to larger cities. The development will include a public square with a café bar and office space, including 70,000 sq ft in Mill One, where Heaton Group will relocate its headquarters.
