VIS Systems provided essential security and monitoring solutions for the construction of a large-scale glass manufacturing facility in Port Talbot, a project overseen by Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd.
Our Role Within This Project
To mention the sheer scale of the project, it began in the summer of 2023, involving B&K Hybrid Solutions delivering approximately 800 tonnes of structural steelwork for Glass Systems, a leading manufacturer of insulated glass units in the UK.
To ensure the security and progress of the 30-acre site, we at VIS Systems implemented a range of advanced security technologies.
Solar towers were strategically placed around the site to provide continuous surveillance, powered by renewable energy. These towers, equipped with high-definition cameras, ensured that all activities on-site were monitored around the clock, contributing to the safety and security of the project.
Not only that, but we thought it would be important to deploy time-lapse cameras to capture the construction process in real-time.
These time-lapse recordings allowed stakeholders to track the progress of the build, providing visual documentation from ground-breaking to completion. This not only helped in maintaining transparency but also in identifying and addressing any potential issues promptly.
CCTV systems were also installed throughout the site, offering an additional layer of security.
